Victory College, Ikare Akoko Never Received Any Bus from OSSAP-SDGs, Says Old Students Association
Reactions have continued to trail the purported supply of a 27-seater bus worth N43.2 million by the Office of the Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals to the President (OSSAP-SDGs) to Victory College, Ikare, Akoko in Ondo State in 2021.
Investigation has revealed that OSSAP-SDGs, headed by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SSAP-SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, allegedly paid the sum of of N43,222,289.72 on 21 May 2021 to the Zenith Bank accounts 1014049038 belonging to AYFIR Construction Company Nigeria Limited for the supply of 1 NO YUTONG ZK,6737D bus a 27-seater diesel engine to Victory College, Ikare Akoko, Ondo State.
The Old Students Association of the school via its Public Relations Officer (PRO) has told this newspaper that no bus was supply by the OSSAP-SGDs.
The PRO, Mr Gbenga Ologun denied that the school never received any bus from OSSAP-SDGS headed by Mrs Adefulire Orelope nor from any Federal Government agencies.
Mr Ologun, while speaking with our reporter during an interview, described the claims by the OSSAP-SDGs that the supply of a Youtong 27-seater bus was made to the Victory College, Ikare Akoko, as fraudulent, adding that anybody that was involved in the diversion of the bus, no matter how highly place, should be exposed and prosecuted by the government of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which has been telling the world that it is ready to fight corruption.
“In fact, we are contributing to buy a bus to make life meaningful for our students and you must be aware that our school had produced great sons and daughters who have contributed immensely to the development of Nigeria. I cannot understand why such bus should not be deliver or why chosen our school to defraud Nigeria,” Gbenga Ologun
