Indo Pacific 2023: Holthouse Legacy To Reward Engineering Skill
The Royal Australian Navy and Indo Pacific 2023 organiser, AMDA Foundation (AMDA), will come together to present a memorial scholarship to a deserving member of Navy’s engineering team at this year’s event.
The Rear Admiral David Holthouse Memorial Scholarship is a joint venture between Navy and AMDA in recognition of the late Rear Admiral who excelled in and highly valued further study in the field of engineering.
Navy will present this year’s scholarship as part of its Indo-Pacific Sea Power Conference 2023 to acknowledge an example of naval engineering excellence. The memorial scholarship also aims to encourage additional study to further the profession of engineering with a cash prize provided by AMDA.
Admiral Holthouse was the first Chairman of Maritime Australia Limited (MAL), a previous iteration of AMDA, a position he held for more than a decade and during which he played a pivotal role in establishing the Indo Pacific International Maritime Exposition.
The RADM Holthouse Award Winner Presentation will be held from 1600-1700 on Tuesday 7 November in the Aurecon Theatrette at Indo Pacific 2023.
